Hashtags can significantly increase the number of people that will see your post, but you need to find the right combination. Use these practices to give your posts the lift off they deserve! 🚀

Make sure your account is public.

Otherwise your hashtagged #content won't be seen by any non-followers.

Don't string too many words together.

The best hashtags are always short, snappy & easy to remember.

Use word association.

Use relevant #hashtags. If your tags are too niche, it will make your content hard to find.

Don't restrict yourself, use hashtags that are associated to the content you are posting or are at least a little bit related!

Quality over quantity.

More isn't always better. I would recommend using 5-15 rich hashtags, and the rest can be relevant hashtags. You have 30 to use so use them ALL. Spend time researching your competitors most-used hashtag and go with those that have a wider following/reach.

Don't use symbols and stay away from emojis.

Using symbols in a hashtag will break the tag, meaning it won't be a valid hashtag.

I would recommend staying away from using #emojis too as they can be too niche.

Use ALT TEXT.

Finally, because you've made it this far into my post, I'll let you into a little secret...

Always use ALT TEXT. It helps the #algorithm understand what is on your #photo and boosts your account on #Google (via SEO).
